Ubisoft announces that the hit multiplayer shooter, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, will be coming to the Next-Gen consoles.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege will be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X sometime this year. Those who already own it for current consoles can upgrade it for free when it launches. The announcement was made during Ubisoft Forward.

Ubisoft also ushered the start of “Operation Shadow Legacy”, the third season of Year 5. Most notable about this season is the addition of Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell series. He will have access to new gear and his own weapons load out. Also included will be new maps and mission objectives.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege is a tactical multiplayer shooter and the seventh game in the acclaimed series. Players take on the role of the titular counter terrorist unit or terrorist and battle it out online. Check out our review of the game but be aware that a lot has changed since its launch in 2015.
