Heads up Lovecraft fans, Assemble Entertainment has announced a release date for their upcoming mystery adventure, The Innsmouth Case.

The Innsmouth Case is a visual novel experience that takes a diffrent approach to the iconic horror story. Players take on the role of a detective hired to locate a missing girl in the town of Innsmouth. Players will interact with over 30 characters while also examining all the clues presented.

The game is set to be released for the PC (via Steam), iOs and Android on June 23rd. Check out the trailer above for more information on what to expect.

This will be one of numerous game adaptation of The Shadow Over Innsmouth by H.P. Lovecraft. Among the most iconic adaptations are Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth and Shadow of the Comet. The story also was an inspiration for The Sinking City and the Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4.
