The trailer introduces viewers to the three high schoolers who are training to participate in a martial arts tournament. Jin Mori has been learning taekwondo under the mentorship of his grandfather and is training to be the best. Han Daewi is working to pay the medical bills for his partner who fell ill. Yoo Mira is the 25th Master of the Moon Light Sword Style has been training since she was a child.

The God of High School is one of several original shows by Crunchyroll that is in the works. It’s an adaptation of the comic by Yongje Park and published by WEBTOON. It follows a group of students as they compete in a tournament while borrowing power directly from the gods.
The series is set to premier in 2020. No official release date has been given but one could expect sometime during the Summer season.
Crunchyroll is the largest anime streaming service, having been credited for introducing the medium to a greater audience. It’s also very active in the fandom community with its support for anime conventions (major and local).
