In a partnership with Trepang Studios, Team17 announces that Trepang2 is in the works with a 2022 launch window. The announcement and unveiling was made during Gamescom 2021.

Trepang2 is a fast paced shooter that follows in the footsteps of classics like Doom and Serious Sam. Players take on the role of a super soldier who brakes out of a heavily-guarded blacksite. They are on a mission of revenge while also seeking to learn about their past life.

The fast paced combat will be a mix of rapid gunfights and close quarters combat. Players will also have to master a verity of special abilities that include slowing down time, cloaking, and super strength. Besides the standard combat, players will also have to perform a series of tasks to level up or unlock hidden secrets.

The game is being developed by Trepang Studios and published by Team17. A demo of the game is available to allow players the chance to experience the game before launch. To learn more about it, you could also check out the following trailer:

Trepang2 is set to launch in 2022 for the PC with no word regarding a console launch at the moment. More information about the game will become available in the future. This was just one of many games announced during Gamescom 2021.
