The Swap Meet was set to take place in early January at the Roebbelen Center. With the new surge in cases and most of the state having gone into lock down, the event has been pushed back. SacAnime Winter 2021 will now take place from April 2nd to April 4th 2021. The event will only feature vendors along with artists and special guests.
The event will follow safety guidelines (set by the State and Country) while guests will have to follow protocol. That means face masks are mandatory and the event hall will only be at 25% capacity. All exhibitors will be distanced by 10 feet apart from each other. The aisles will be 20 to 30 feet wide.
Those who already purchased a ticket for the January event will have options. They can use it for the April event or for SacAnime Summer 2021.
More information about the new event will be made available in the future. This includes the guest list and if live panels will be included.
This is not the only event to have push back or cancel their 2021 plans. BayCon cancelled their 2021 event and deferred it to 2022. CES 2021 has been became an all digital event. Augmented World Expo and the Game Developers Conference will host their 2021 event later in the year.
