GTAOnline0012

It has been several months since I last played Grand Theft Auto: Online (due to other games and Fallout 4). Thanks to the Further Adventures in Finance and Felony DLC along with several other addons, now felt the right time to return to building my online criminal empire.

I first played Grand Theft Auto V when it came out on the PS3 back in 2013 then got into Online a few days after it went live. I got it for the PS4 in 2014 as it came in a bundle when I bought my new console. I played Online a lot more and began to really develop my character while working with friends to pull heists.

Then Fallout 4 came out and I took a break from playing Grand Theft Auto: Online. I would return in Febuary only to go back to Fallout 4 in March. With the Further Adventures in Finance and Felony DLC out, it’s now a good time to replay Grand Theft Auto: Online.

First I need to say how one gotta love how Rockstar Games has broken with the industry standards by creating a quality title then updating it consistently. This is how other game developers and publishers have sold DLC’s.

Other game developersHere is a DLC with 2 new maps, $20 (while giving gamers the finger).

Then you have how Rockstar has sold their DLC’s.

Rockstar GamesHere is a DLC with new weapons, cars and gameplay.
GamersHow much?
Rockstar GamesDon’t worry about it.

Now back to playing Grand Theft Auto: Online.

The image above is the first thing I see when I enter the world of Grand Theft Auto: Online (not something I wanted to see when starting a game but OK ¯_(ツ)_/¯).

I step out into the world and I see some dude flying around in his helicopter, time to put an end to the fun with a good old fashion Stinger. I went to the closes Ammu-Nation to see if they had any new weapons, got me an AK-74u. Next I walked a few blocks into a gang territory and start blasting every punk ass thug in sight (victory).

During this time, I had received multiple texts from Lamar about some job. So i checked it out, but skipped the conversation. I then get an invite from some CEO to join his organization. After the meeting, me and another player participated in a major art heist. The other player provided air support while I took care of the guys on the ground.

After the heist; I noticed a liquor shop and so I went back to my old habit of robbing them. I always enjoyed robbing these stores because it’s easy money and XP. During the rest of the time, I just hit up stores then fight off the cops before hiding.

Overall, I have played 30 hours worth of gametime since replaying Grand Theft Auto: Online on June 13. It has always been a fun experience playing in the world of but chances are I will take another hiatus when the next DLC for Fallout 4 comes out.
