Returning to the series roots has proven to be a winning formula as Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has already become one of the best selling games of 2017.
As of February 13, the game has sold over 3 million units to retailers while quickly becoming the top selling game. Capcom is expecting to sell about 4 million units before the end of the financial year but analysis expect the number to be much greater at the current rate.
Despite the positive news, Capcom’s stock price took a dip on February 2 but has been on the rise since February 6. Fans should not worry as it has been pointed out that this does happen a lot with tech stock due to investors having a lack of knowledge regarding industry.
With several DLC’s set to be released in the next few months, gamers could expect Resident Evil 7: Biohazard to have even more replay value.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is the eleventh game in the series and the first main entry to be played from a first-person perspective. The story follows Ethan Winters to search for his missing wife at an abandon plantation populated by a family infected with a deadly plague.
