After a long wait; Respawn Entertainment has officially announced their anticipated project with Oculus, a VR reboot of the Medal of Honor series.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is a VR shooter that has players take on the role of several OSS Agents as they work to bring down the Nazi war machine. Players will interact with the world, take command of vehicles and use a verity of tactics to over come a challenge.

The first trailer was shown during the Keynote Speech at Oculus Connect 6. Among the highlights of the trailer was a showcase of the combat along with numerous settings. Also showcased was the vision of the development team in bring the game to life.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is set to be released for the Oculus sometime in 2020 and more details will be unveiled during the week.

Attendees at Oculus Connect 6 could get a first hand look by demoing it on the expo floor.

Medal of Honor is an iconic WWII shooter series that was first created by Steven Spielberg and grew to become a major series. The franchise created the military shooter genre and inspired titles like Call of Duty and Battlefield.
