JRPG fans who played Phantom Brave back in the day are in for a treat as a sequel is in the works. NIS America has announced that Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is in the works with a 2025 launch date.

Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero will once again follow Marona, an orphaned girl with the power to speak with Phantoms, and Ash, her Phantom companion. They traverse the ocean and provide help to those in need. The game is set to launch sometime in 2025 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles and PC.

To celebrate the announcement, remastered versions of Phantom Brave are currently available on sale. Gamers who missed out could pick up Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered on the Nintendo eShop for $9.99 USD. PC gamers could pick up Phantom Brave on the Steam Store for $3.99 USD. These sales end on July 7th.

Phantom Brave was first released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2004 followed by a Wii launch in 2009. The game was remastered for the PC in 2016 followed by the Nintendo Switch in 2021.

Anime Expo is the largest anime convention in North America and one of the biggest events in the industry. Organized by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), the event brings major leaders of the industry while inviting the fandom for an eventful weekend. The 2024 event will take place from July 4th to July 7th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
