Following an early teaser, Nightdive Studios officially confirms The Thing: Remastered during IGN Live.
The Thing: Remastered is an enhanced and updated version of the iconic horror game. A sequel to the John Carpenter classic, the game will take players back to the nightmare that is Outpost 31. Players will once again work with a squad to survive while also having to ensure their trust and safety.
Among the updates will be upgraded models, textures, and animations along with an enhanced atmosphere. Fans will get to enjoy the nightmare in 4K with 120FPS visuals. Check out the trailer to have an idea about The Thing: Remastered.
The Thing: Remastered is set to launch sometime in 2024 for the Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and the PC. Additional details will become available in the future.
The Thing was released back in 2002 for the PS2, Xbox, and PC as a follow-up to the iconic film. Set three months after the events of the movie; a military unit has been deployed to investigate the radio silence at Outpost 31. During their investigation, they encounter the creature and must stop it before it escapes.
