Forever Entertainment has announced that a slew of new content is coming to Front Mission 1st: Remake including a multiplayer mode.
New updates for Front Mission 1st: Remake will launch sometime in 2024 and will add a new single-player scenario along with new characters and multiplayer. Single-player updates will add new scenarios that will provide a diverse range of challenges and engaging narratives. Hot-Seat Mode will allow players to challenge friends through local multiplayer mode. New characters will include new mercenaries who have joined the fight and command characters who will hold the team together.
The updates will be available for all versions of the game. Additional details about the updates will become available in the future.
Front Mission 1st: Remake was originally launched on the Nintendo Switch in 2022 before coming to the PC and other consoles in June 2023. The story follows OCU Captain Royd Clive and UCS Officer Kevin Greenfield during the Second Huffman Conflict. To have an idea about the game, check out our review of the PC version.
The series is a turn-based mecha JRPG that often follows conflicts between regional unions and economic blocs. The series is known for its rich storytelling along with its RPG rich gameplay. Despite being an iconic mech series, Front Mission was only released in Japan for the PlayStation. Front Mission 3 was the first title in the series to be released outside of Japan.
