Major Update #2 patch for Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is now available and it fixes a series of bugs while adding new content. 

Becoming available starting on October 26th, Major Update #2 fixes a few issues in Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle. At the same time, it adds a new gameplay mode along with additional content. Here is the breakdown of the improvements made with the Major Update #2 patch.

Major Update #2 

  • H.A.D.E.S. Mode is a new difficulty that is unlocked by completing the “Special Agent” challenge. This mode will have players start with all Frost Grip and Weapons upgrades unlocked. Enemies will be stronger and harder to kill while the combat has been altered. 
  • Added an option to customize the distance of the camera from the player.
  • Added an option in the Bonus menu that completes Hacking mini-games automatically. It’s unlocked by completing the “Computer Wizard” challenge.
  • Added an option in the Bonus menu that gives the player the ability to use the Frost Beam in the game. It’s unlocked by completing the “Highlander” challenge.
  • Fixed a bug related to the shotgun upgrade material.
  • Added the contest winning artwork to the game.
  • Fixed some localization typos.
  • Improved audio during specific cinematics.
  • The super secret Easter egg now has sound.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle launched for all major consoles and the PC on August 30th. A prequel to the first game, it follows Agent Dalila Reyes of H.A.D.E.S. who must investigate an outbreak at a secret government facility. To have an idea about the game, check out our review
