Kin-Yoobi Con Digital Event 8Bit/Digi

In response to the spike in COVID-19 cases and concerns of public safety, Kin-Yoobi Con 2020 has been converted to an all digital event.

Kin-Yoobi Con 2020 OS (Online Special) will be a digital event that will take place on August 9th. The event will feature panels and other activities hosted online (via live stream). No panel or activities list has been made available yet but that information will become available in the coming weeks.

The announcement was made in the following Facebook post:

Just to avoid any confession, the Kin-Yoobi Con 2020 that was to take place at SDES Alvarado (located at 30846 Watkins St, Union City) has been cancelled. Ticket holders could ask for a refund or have it rolled over for the 2021 event.

It now joins SacAnime and Powerhouse Comic Con that have announced their cancellation. Other Summer events have been push back to the Fall or deferred to 2021. Those that have not been cancelled are committed to their scheduled. It should be noted that dates and status may change given what will happen during the pandemic.

Kin-Yoobi Con is an East Bay anime convention that invites fans for a day of fun with local clubs and vendors. The only time we have been to Kin-Yoobi Con was back in 2017, you can check out the highlights.
