ANIME Impulse Bay Area saw the community congregate at the Santa Clara Convention Center for a festive weekend from July 18th to July 19th. Attendees were joined by special guests and leaders of the local fandom community. After months of planning and anticipation, these are some of the highlights of the ANIME Impulse Bay Area 2026 weekend.

From live shows to cosplay gatherings and more, there was no shortage of activities at ANIME Impulse Bay Area. Since so many had gathered here for one weekend, there was so much to enjoy. Here are some of the activities one could stumble upon:
Special guests give fans a chance to meet their favorite performers and industry insiders at panels or autograph sessions. Among the guests present were Sean Chiplock from The Legend of Heroes series, Alain Mesa from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, and Samantha Béart from Baldur’s Gate 3 just to name a few. Also present for the weekend were VTubers Alban Knox, Sonny Brisko, Uki Violeta, Doppio Dropscythe, Ver Vermillion, Aia Amare, and Scarle Yonaguni.
Game Room was the place for gamers who wanted to kick it old school. Guests could enjoy the numerous versions of Dance Dance Revolution, play a game of Time Crisis 4 with a friend or get a thrill from playing Crisis Zone. Guests could also sign up to compete in a game of Beyblades. The only rule is to have fun and be sure to share with others.
ANIME Impulse organized many Cosplay Gatherings during the weekend based on the most popular franchises. Those wanting to participate could meet at the designated spots for a photo shoot while networking with other fans.
While not organized by ANIME Impulse, there were random moments in which guests would gather for a game of Pokémon Go. With several gyms around the area, there were moments when guests would gather to participate in raids. Others would take a break and catch any Pokémon within range.

ANIME Impulse Bay Area 2026, along with K-PLAY! FEST and Collectors Expo, boasted more than 200 vendors and artists spread throughout the main hall. Within this treasure trove, attendees could find a wide range of collectible merchandise or a work of art that speaks to them. Even if one had no shopping agenda, it is still fun to look through all the cool stuff and meet the many artists.
Catical Neko has been a staple of the SoCal anime community, and they were present in the Bay Area for the weekend. They are known for their neko inspired tactical patches while also selling stickers, keychains, artwork, and body pillows.

Cosplaying has always been a tradition at fan conventions and ANIME Impulse is no exception. Many work months to either create the best or most off-beat that will premier during this special weekend. Those who are dedicated will work to bring their favorite character to life. Others will add their own personal style or a special twist.
