Gundam fans will be excited to learn that Crunchyroll has expanded its collection of works from the iconic series. Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, Char’s Counterattack and 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer are now available to watch on Crunchyroll.

Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ is a follow-up Zeta Gundam as it deals with the aftermath of the Gryps War. With the Titans defeated, remnants of the Zeon forces join together and launch the First Neo Zeon War. The series follows Captain Bright Noa as he commands the Argama in battle against the Neo Zeon forces. 

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack is set following the events of the Zeta Trilogy. Char Aznable has taken control of the Neo Zeon forces and plots to continue the work of his father. That is for the colonies to seek independence from the Federation. Thus, starting a new war that will pit him against Amuro Ray for the last time.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer is a followup to the acclaimed series. Set in the Anno Domini (AD) universe, it follows a paramilitary unit, dubbed the Celestial Being, who are armed with Gundam’s powered with the GN Drive. This time they need to save humanity from an alien force known as ELS.

At the moment, only the subbed versions of these titles are available.

With the new additions, 14 series (main entries and spin-offs) along with 3 movies are available on Crunchyroll. This includes the original series, Unicorn along with Advent of the Red Comet. Spin-offs titles include like Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Gundam Wing.

Gundam is a media franchise that follows an interstellar conflict involving mobile suits. The franchise includes the main series followed by numerous spin-offs along with video games and models (dubbed Gunpla). Crunchyroll is the largest anime streaming service and is credited for introducing the medium to a greater audience.
