Heisei era Mechagodzilla in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered, set to launch on November 3rd, 2026.

In one of the biggest surprises of Summer Game Fest 2026, Atari and Digital Eclipse have announced that Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is set to launch on November 3rd, 2026.

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered will launch on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It is an arena fighter where players step into the role of one of 12 monstersfrom the series’ rogues gallery:

  • Heisei era Godzilla
  • Millennium era Godzilla
  • Showa era Anguirus
  • Destoroyah
  • Showa era Gigan
  • King Ghidorah
  • Heisei era Mechagodzilla
  • Kiryu
  • Mecha-King Ghidorah
  • Heisei era Rodan
  • Orga
  • Megalon

This marks the first Godzilla game to launch on consoles since Godzilla in 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Since then, every Godzilla game has been a mobile title, while console appearances have been limited to crossovers such as Super Robot Wars 30.

Additional details about the game will be unveiled in the coming weeks and months, including whether new monsters will be added.

King of the Monsters

The original Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee launched for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002, followed by an Xbox release in 2003. It has been hailed as the best Godzilla video game. Its success was followed by Godzilla: Save the Earth for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2004. The original also arrived alongside similar kaiju brawlers such as War of the Monsters.

Bay Area fans will also be excited to know that the SF Godzillafest Film Festival runs from July 17th to July 19th at the Balboa Theater in San Francisco. The full SF Godzillafest convention then returns to the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway from September 18th to September 20th. The guest list for the convention features Shusuke Kaneko, Katsuhiko Sasaki, and TJ Storm.
