In honor of the late George A. Romero, cast members from Day of the Dead will honor his memory during a special panel at Famous Monsters Halloween Con 2017.

Day of the Dead was the third film in the Dead series directed by George A. Romero and it was released in 1985. Terry Alexander and Lori Cardille will be hosting a special panel that looks into the legacy of the late director while also discussing the development of the movie.

During Famous Monsters Halloween Con, they will be joined by Bay Area scream queen Adrienne Barbeau, Jeffrey Combs who played Herbert West in Re-Animator, Zach Galligan from the Gremlins films, and Barbie Wilde who played the Female Cenobite in Hellbound: Hellraiser II. just to name a few. More guests will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.

Famous Monsters Halloween Con 2017 is a horror film fan convention that brings together iconic stars and industry professionals at the San Jose Convention Center. The event will take place on the weekend of October 27 – 29 and tickets are on sale now.

George A. Romero is a horror film icon known for creating the modern zombie genre with Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead. He also co-directed Creepshow with Stephen King and a commercial for Resident Evil 2.

  1. Capcom made a mistake by picking a hack director over a horror icon. The RE movies would have been so much better had Romero been the director.
