Big news for mecha fans, Forever Entertainment has announced the launch date for their highly anticipated remake of Front Mission 3

Front Mission 3: Remake is set to launch for the Nintendo Switch on June 26th, 2025. The announcement was made in a new trailer. The game will feature improved visuals and animation along with a reorchestrated soundtrack. The narrative will focus on two different storylines that are created based on the player’s choices and actions. There will also be new combat mechanics and customization options.

There is no word about a launch on other consoles and the PC, but that announcement will be made in the future.

Front Mission 3 is the third game in the series and follows the events of the second game. Following the successful breakaway of the People’s Republic of Alordesh, other nations Oceania Cooperative Union looking to break away. This has created a cold war between the OCU and the People’s Republic of Da Han Zhong. Tensions come to a head when a JSDF base is attacked, which could lead to a war between both powers.

Front Mission is a turn-based mecha JRPG that often follows conflicts between regional unions and economic blocs. The series is known for its rich storytelling along with its RPG gameplay. Players take command of a squad of wanzers (“walking tanks”) who they must command in battle. The first two games were only released in Japan while Front Mission 3 was the first title to see a global launch.
