To celebrate the release of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, Bandai Namco has announced that Freedom Gundam has been added to Battle Operation 2.
Piloted by Kira Yamato, the Freedom Gundam has been added to the rooster of mobile suits available in Battle Operation 2. It should be noted that the Freedom Gundam is only available in the PC version of the game. To see it in action, check out the announcement trailer:
Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 is a free-to-play multiplayer experience based on the iconic mecha series. Players are put into teams and battle it out using their favorite mobile suits. The game was first launched for the PlayStation 5 in 2019 followed by a PC launch in 2023.
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom was released in Japan on January 26, 2024. Set several years after the events of SEED Destiny, new conflicts are emerging while the Blue Cosmos continue to be a threat to peace. In response; a world peace monitoring organization is established under the leadership of Lacus Clyne. With the support of Kira Yamato, they must work to bring down Blue Cosmos once and for all.
Gundam is a media franchise that follows an interstellar conflict involving mobile suits. The franchise includes the main series followed by numerous spin-offs along with video games and models (dubbed Gunpla). SEED is the fifth spin-off series and is set in the Cosmic Era timeline.
