Fans of the retro inspired horror survival will be excited to know that a new nightmare awaits them as Invader Studios has announced Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle has been announced and it’s set for a 2022 launch. The game will be a prequel as it follows Agent Dalila Reyes of H.A.D.E.S. who must investigate an outbreak at a secret government facility.  Players will return to the 90’s with a new arsenal while also encountering familiar characters from previous game. Some changes to the gameplay have been made to allow for a better experience while keeping its retro inspired mechanics.

The game is currently set to be released for the PC in early 2022. There is no word yet of a console launch but that could change in the future. More information about the game will be announced in the future.

Daymare is a retro inspired horror survival that started as a fan remake of Resident Evil 2. The project was scrapped after the announcement of the remake. It was rebranded as a new title while also bring on several key developers who had worked on the classic Resident Evil games.
