Gamers of Northern California will have the chance to meet two industry legends at SacGamers Expo as they have announced that David Crane and Garry Kitchen will be among the guests.

David Crane is a pioneer and legend in the video game industry. As a developer, he is known for creating Grand Prix, the first Ghostbusters game, and the Pitfall series. He was also one of the lead designers on A Boy and His Blob along with Bart Simpson’s Escape from Camp Deadly. On the business side, he is best known as one of the co-founders of Activision – now one of the largest video game publishers and developers while part of Microsoft.

Garry Kitchen is a pioneer and legend in the video game industry. As a developer, he is known as the creator of Space Jockey while serving as the director for Stealth ATF and The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants. On the business side, he is best known as the founder of Absolute Entertainment.

He will be joined by Gary Anthony Williams from The Boondocks, nerdcore artist Mega Ran, commentator Nintendrew, along with David Humphrey and Scott Dreier from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. More guests will be announced in the future. Registration and ticket sales are now open.

Sac Gamers Expo is one of the largest video game conventions in the Sacramento area. The event brings together game vendors (from around California), industry icons, and leaders of the community’s indie game industry. The 2024 event will take place at the Scottish Rite Center from December 14th to December 15th.
