During an announcement of their Q2 viewership data, Crunchyroll announced that they have hit the 3 million subscribers milestone.

Crunchyroll announced that their streaming platform has over 3 million paid subscribers along with 70 million registered users globally. It was also also revealed that the average subscriber spends 100 minutes per day on the platfrom. Among the most watched shows during Q2 in the United States were:

premium subscribers spend approximately 100 minutes per day watching their favorite shows on Crunchyroll. Below are the most-viewed 10 titles, in alphabetical order (quantified by views per subscriber, not total views):

  • Black Clover
  • Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
  • Food Wars! Shokigeki no Soma
  • Haikyu!!
  • Hunter x Hunter
  • JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
  • My Hero Academia 
  • Naruto Shippuden
  • One Piece
  • Tower of God

General Manager at Crunchyroll, Joanne Waage, stated in a press release,

“Crunchyroll’s global growth has been incredible. We launched in 2006 and it took us about 10 years to hit one million subscribers. It took us only two years after that to break two million, and even less than that to hit three million subscribers where we are today. But, we don’t just measure success based on paying subscribers. We have an active and growing AVOD community of over 70 million registered users.”
