With the ongoing pandemic and concerns about everyone’s safety, Crunchyroll Expo 2021 will be an all digital event. This announcement comes following the example of so many other events.

Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2021 will be a digital event that is set to take place from August 5th thru August 7th. The event will feature panels and guest speakers along with interactive events. Details about the guest list and panels will be made available in the coming months.

There are options for those who bought a ticket or still have their pass from the 2020 event. They could either roll it over for the 2022 event or get a full refund. Those who opt to have it roll over will not have to pay extra if the price goes up for the 2022 event. Exhibitors who reserved a space for could also roll over to 2022 or choose receive a refund.

The announcement comes a week after a number of conventions announced they are going all digital or pushed back to 2022. E3, San Diego Comic Con and Anime Expo all announced an all digital event for 2021. Other conventions like Bay Con made choice to cancel their 2021 event back in December.
