Fans of the Dragon Ball series and My Hero Academia will be excited to learn that Christopher Sabat will be a guest at SacAnime Summer 2026.

Christopher Sabat is an acclaimed voice actor who has played numerous iconic characters in his long career. He is best known for his roles as Vegeta, Piccolo, and Yamcha in the Dragon Ball series. He is also best known for his role as Daisuke Jigen in the Lupin the 3rd franchise and All Might on My Hero Academia. His other iconic roles include Kazuma Kuwabara on Yu Yu Hakusho, along with Alex Louis Armstrong in Fullmetal Alchemist and Brotherhood. Gamers will also recognize him from his role as Alex D in Deus Ex: Invisible War, Irie in Lost Judgment, and Duessel in Fire Emblem Heroes.

He has earned recognition from the Behind the Voice Actors Awards for his work in anime dubbing. In 2018, he won the BTVA Anime Dub Television/OVA Voice Acting Award for Best Vocal Ensemble in an Anime Television Series/OVA for Dragon Ball Super, sharing the honor with Sean Schemmel, Kyle Hebert, Kara Edwards, Laura Bailey, and others. That same year, the Dragon Ball Super cast also claimed the BTVA People’s Choice Voice Acting Award in the same category. Sabat received additional 2018 and 2017 nominations for ensemble and lead performances in WorldEnd and My Hero Academia.

SacAnime Summer 2026 Guests and Activities

Christopher Sabat will be one of many special guests attending SacAnime Summer 2026. He will be joining Griffin Burns from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, Jad Saxton from Fire Force, Ming-Na Wen from Mulan and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daniel Marin from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022), Brittney Karbowski from Fairy Tail, along with Alix Wilton Regan from Dragon Age: Inquisition just to name a few. Additional guests, along with attendance days and session times, will be announced in the future.

The weekend will also include musical shows, a maid cafe, cosplay gatherings, industry along with fan panels, and special shows. Details about the activities and gatherings will also be announced in the months leading up to the convention. Tickets for SacAnime Summer 2026 are now on sale, starting at $50 for the weekend.

SacAnime Summer 2026 runs from September 4th to September 6th, 2026, at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, located on 1401 K St., Sacramento, CA 95814. The convention is one of the largest anime events in Northern California, drawing attendees from the surrounding region along with the Bay Area and Reno-Sparks area. It features a series of panels plus cosplay gatherings, musical performances, and more.
