Video game pioneer John Romero has confirmed that Chris Gregan and Ronan Pearce have joined his newly established studio, Romero Games Ltd. Romero made the announcement in a tweet that was posted on March 5 which stated,

Chris Gregan and Ronan Pearce are game developers who are well known as the founders of the indie studio, Snozbot. They have published several minor titles while their most well known project is Fungus, an open source plug-in for Unity 3D. Its unknown at the moment what project they will be working on with Romero.
Romero Games Ltd. is an independent game studio that was established in 2015 and is located in Galway, Ireland. Their first title, Gunman Taco Truck was released in January 2017 and it was highly praised by critics along with gamers. The studio is currently working on three projects but no details have been revealed at the moment.
John Romero is a pioneer in the gaming world having co-founded id Software in the 90’s alongside John Carmack and Tom Hall. His gaming credits include work on Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Quake just to name a few while also coining the multiplayer term “deathmatch”.
I was raised on Doom and Quake while i played Gunman Taco Truck last month. Glad to see Romero is back.
