Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is the 11th game in the series and it launched on January 24, 2017. It’s the first main entry to be played from a first-person perspective and one of the first AAA VR games. The story follows Ethan Winters in search of his missing wife at an abandoned plantation populated by a family infected with a deadly plague. The game was praised for returning to the series roots and setting the bar for VR titles going forward.
The Resident Evil 2 remake first launched for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25, 2019. It was highly praised for modernizing one of the best horror games. It was later brought to the Nintendo Switch and updated for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game will follow Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape Raccoon City after the T-Virus outbreak.
The original Resident Evil 2 was the second game in the horror series and has been hailed as one of the greatest horror games of all time. The game was first released in 1998 for the PlayStation. It was later ported to the PC, Nintendo 64, and Sega Dreamcast.
