At PlayStation’s State of Play, the latest trailer for the Resident Evil 4 remake revealed some new details and announced that a demo of the game would be available soon.

Even before the event, fans were hoping for news about a Resident Evil 4 demo, with many posting their desire to sample the game before its launch. Capcom had previously released demos for the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, so fans were eagerly awaiting news about a demo for this highly anticipated game.

In addition to the demo announcement, the trailer showcased reimaged moments in the Resident Evil 4 remake. It confirmed the return of more beloved characters and its take on memorable moments. It also confirmed the return of The Mercenaries

Resident Evil 4 will launch for the PS4 and Next-Gen consoles along with the PC on March 24th, 2023. Players will once again take on the role of Leon S. Kennedy, now with the United States Secret Service, as he is tasked with rescuing the President’s daughter from a mysterious cult that plans to use a weaponized parasite to take over the world. 

The original Resident Evil 4 was released in 2005 first for the Nintendo Game Cube followed by the PlayStation 2 several months later. It has since been re-released on every console along with the PC.
