Activsion has officially unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which appears to be one of the most radical changes to the series since Black Ops II. The big announcement confirmed some speculations while killing several rumors that have been circulating.

Multiplayer

For the first time in the series, there will be no single-player campaign. Instead its going to be an all multiplayer experience that will include a multiplayer, the zombie mode and a Battle Royale game. However there will be a story in the game and players will progress through it as they level up.

The multiplayer is a departure from the traditional one fans have known in favor of a hero based multiplayer (like Overwatch or Team Fortress 2). Players will pick from a verity of characters who have their own special ability or skills.

Zombies

In the absence of single-player, there will be three different zombie experiences. Each game will be set during a different time period and are customized around a players preferred method of playing.

Battle Royale

Call of Duty has jumped on the Battle Royale bandwagon with the introduction of Blackout. The map will be the largest one in the series and is inspired by the games rich history. Gamers could also play as their favorite character from the series while having accesse to a verity of weapons and vehicles.

More information about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be unveiled at E3 and in the coming months.
