If you’re cosplayer who also enjoys a formal dance the you will excited to know that California Cosplay Gala has announced the date and location for A Fairytale Ball.

California Cosplay Gala: A Fairytale Ball will take place on Saturday, February 29 starting at 7 PM. The event will be hosted Rose Ballroom in San Jose. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

As the name suggests, the theme for this event will be fairytale and fantasy. The playlist will feature songs from anime and video games along with some mainstream ones. The festivities will include a Snowball Mixer for both Swing and Latin along with a cosplay contest.

Be warned that there is a dress code that will be enforced. Guests and cosplayers are allowed to wear suits, slacks or dress pants along with button-up shirts. Also approved are blouses, dress skirts, capes and Lolita apparel. T-shirts, jeans, boots, prop weapons and athletic cloths are not allowed.

California Cosplay Gala works to host cosplay themed formal events outside of anime conventions. They are active in both the Bay Area and the Los Angeles area.
