Due to concerns of public safety because of the ongoing pandemic, Biohazard Con has postponed their 2022 event. While the news may be a blow for horror fans, it might be for the best given the pandemic.

Biohazard Con 2022 was set to take place on October 22nd but now has been cancelled. The reason is the ongoing pandemic as organizers were concerned with the safety of guests and volunteers. At the moment it’s unclear if the event will take place in late 2022 or in 2023. More details about the event will be announced in the future.

The announcement was made via Facebook int following post:

Due to the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, live events are either pushing their date back or going online only. Genesis 8 opted to reschedule for April while E3 decided to go online only once again. As of January 26th; 86% of California have received their first shot of the vaccine while 69% are fully vaccinated.

Biohazard Con is a one day event that is dedicated to the horror game community. It will feature voice actors, developers and more for a day of fun. The convention’s name is a reference to the Resident Evil series (named Biohazard in Japan).
