Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced DEATH NOTE Killer Within, a social deduction game based on the iconic anime series.  

DEATH NOTE Killer Within is an online social deduction game where up to 10 players join one of two teams and must uncover each other’s identities. The goal is to either eliminate the L or seize the Death Note from Light Yagami. Both are equally matched, each hiding their true identity while battling for control over the game. Players engage in a game of wits leading to a showdown until one team prevails. 

Players can choose one of four roles: Kira, Kira Follower, L, or Investigator. Each role offers unique gameplay dynamics, allowing for varied strategic approaches. Players can also personalize their avatars with accessory types and activate special effects that display during key moments.

The game is set to launch on November 5th for the PlayStation consoles and the PC. To have an idea about the game, check out the announcement trailer:

DEATH NOTE is an acclaimed series that follows Light Yagami after stumbling upon the Death Note, a supernatural notebook that grants him the ability to kill anyone whose name he writes on its pages. Guided by the shinigami Ryuk, Light uses it to massacre criminals worldwide, drawing the attention of law enforcement. This ignites a tense game of cat and mouse with L, a mysterious detective determined to stop him.
