The Balboa Theater will be giving anime fans the chance to watch Ghost in the Shell in theaters as part of AniMonday. This will be an opportunity to watch one of the most iconic works of cyberpunk on the big screen. 

AniMonday Presents ~ Ghost in the Shell will be a special screening of the iconic anime film on April 24th at 7:30 pm. This will only be a showing of the subbed version of the film (there will be no screening of the dubbed version). Tickets for the film are now on sale, via online. 

For those who prefer other anime films, The Balboa Theater does feature them every other AniMonday. They also have numerous anime film festivals during the year.

Ghost in the Shell is a cyberpunk film that follows Major Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg working for Public Security Section 9, who is tasked with stopping a mysterious hacker known as the Puppet Master. The film was directed by Mamoru Oshii and released in 1995. It was highly praised and influenced a generation of artists including The Wachowskis (directors of The Matrix).
