Bai Ling is an actress best known for her role as Myca in the The Crow (her first American film) and Mei in Dumplings (which she won numerous awards for). Her other notable roles include Ria in Crank: High Voltage, Ida in The Key and Coco in Shanghai Baby. She has also appeared in a number of shows such as Entourage in the role of Li Lei.
She will be joining Tom Sizemore, Cesar Garcia from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and wrestler Patricia Summerland. Also among the guests are comic book industry leaders like Luis Rivera and Chris Marrinan just to name a few. More guests will be announced in the coming months.
This is just one of several live conventions in Northern California that is set to take place in 2021, but that could change depending on the state of the pandemic. As of August 9th, 65.5% of California’s population has received their first dose of the vaccine while the local governments have lifted most economic restrictions.
California Republic Comic Con is a pop-culture convention that will take place on September 18th at the Merced County Fairgrounds.
