During the XBOX Games Showcase at Summer Game Fest, Atlus announced that Persona 6 is in the works with the first teaser trailer.
The short teaser only confirmed that Persona 6 is in the works but gave no other information or details. The only details confirmed is that the game will launch for the XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. At the moment, we don’t know anything about the setting, characters, or story. Additional information will become available in the future.
For now, you can check out the teaser to have an idea of what to expect from Persona 6:
This will be the first new entry into the mainline Persona series of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise since Persona 5 in 2016. Entries since then have been spin-offs, remasters, or remakes. Other new titles like Shin Megami Tensei V were part of the main Shin Megami Tensei series, while Soul Hackers 2 belonged to the Devil Summoner line.

The reveal came alongside the announcement that Persona 4 Revival will launch on February 18, 2027 for the XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. A remake of the 2008 PlayStation 2 title, the story follows the protagonist who moves to Inaba City and, while investigating a local urban legend, joins his classmates in uncovering a hidden world inside television screens called the Midnight Channel. Guided by Teddie, an inhabitant of this realm, they hunt a killer who has been sending victims there to die.
A remaster of the game was released back in early 2023 for all major consoles and the PC. Check out our review of the remaster to have an idea of what to expect. This was followed by a remake of Persona 3 that launched in 2024.
