ATLUS shares additional details about Persona 3 Reload including updates to the S.E.E.S. Combat Uniforms and the Tartarus. Also included are details about the locals of Iwatodai City and new gameplay features.
From the new combat uniforms to the details about the Tartarus, here is a breakdown of the new details regarding Persona 3 Reload:
S.E.E.S. Combat Uniform
Each S.E.E.S. member will have their own unique combat uniform when exploring the Dark Hour. Updates now include details about Akihiko Sanada and Mitsuru Kirijo combat uniform.
Akihiko Sanada weapon is his fists while his Persona will be Polydeuces, who specializes in Electricity plus Striking while their Theurgy will be the Lightning Sphere.
Mitsuru Kirijo weapon will be her rapiers while her Persona will be Penthesilea, who specializes in Ice while their Theurgy will be the Blizzard Edge.
The labyrinth of Tartarus appears to tower over everything when it’s the Dark Hour. Persona 3 Reload presents a fresh take on this iconic setting with new gameplay elements along with design choices. Key among them are breakable objects and locked treasures that will reward players with loot. Monad doors and passages can be found that will reward players for battling powerful Shadows.
After a battle players could have a party member scout ahead. If they agree to do so, they will be temporarily split from the group to search for a route to the next floor. They will rejoin the party once you have caught up with them. Along the way, you could find and rescue people who have been trapped in Tartarus.
Be warned; if you stay on a floor for too long then you will encounter the Reaper. This will be the game’s way of telling players to move along.
During the day, the Protagonist will have the chance to bond with the people of Iwatodai City. Bonding with them will boost the player’s Social Links with certain characters. Raising the Protagonist’s rank with them will unlock special scenes. Here is a list of the people you can interact with:
- Tanaka – CEO of a telemarkeing company
- Mutatsu – A Monk
- Mamoru Hayase – The ace of a rival school’s track team
- Maya – An MMO buddy
- Maiko Oohashi – An elementary school student
- Akinari Kamiki – A young man with an illness
- Mitsuko Kitamura and Bunkichi Kitamura – Owners of a bookstore
A new gameplay feature is one that was first introduced in Persona 5. Invitations Over Text allows the Protagonist to be invited out by friends after school or on days off. You will be invited to an activity that will allow you to build a bond with them. When accepted, you will quick travel to the location.
