A Look at ROMWE Booth at Anime Expo 2023

ROMWE is an alternative-style brand renowned for its original works and collaborations with popular IPs. Lately, it has been partnering with some of the most iconic anime and manga publishers to offer clothing and accessories that draw inspiration from these works. That is why they had a commanding presence next to the Entertainment Hall at Anime Expo 2023.

I got the opportunity to tour the ROMWE booth during Anime Expo 2023. Here I got to tour their Attack on Titan collaboration display, check out their on-site shop, and participate in their photo booth. 

Attack on Titan Collaboration Display

As one would make their way to the Entertainment Hall, your attention will immediately be captured by the ROMWE x Attack on Titan display. It was impossible to overlook as visitors were welcomed by a large cutout of the Armored Titan (wielded by Reiner Braun) engaged in battle against the Attack Titan (controlled by Eren Jaeger). The showcase not only featured designs from the collection but also incorporated manga panels that paid homage to the renowned series. This immersive display truly brought the world of Attack on Titan to life for attendees to appreciate.

The display also presented a photo opportunity for visitors. Guests were welcome to take selfies and group photos with the panels or the merchandise. It also became common for Attack on Titan cosplayers to be invited for a photo in front of the Armored Titan vs. Attack Titan cutout. 

Photo Booths 

In addition to the captivating display, ROMWE had set up two photo booths near their on-site shop. The first booth offered opportunity for visitors to transform themselves into anime characters. Upon participation, their pictures would be taken and processed using specialized software that would render them in three different anime styles. Participants could then select their preferred style that would print out on the spot.

The second photo booth allowed guests insert themselves into the world of Cardcaptor Sakura. Guests would find themselves inserted into moments inspired by the beloved series. 

ROMWE Shop

At the heart of the booth, the ROMWE shop stood as a focal point where attendees could purchase a wide range of items on display. For those who were captivated by the Attack on Titan display, the shop offered an opportunity to acquire the showcased merchandise. In addition to clothing, a diverse assortment of accessories inspired by the popular series were also available for sale.

Outside the Attack on Titan collection, the ROMWE shop featured a wide range of clothing items with anime inspired original designs. For those interested in cosplay, a selection of accessories was available for purchase, catering to individuals who may have needed last-minute additions. The display case proudly showcased a collection of unique stickers, accessories and pins – serving as eye-catching collectibles for attendees to admire and acquire.

Of course, I also got to walk away with some amazing merchandise from the shop (courtesy of ROMWE).
