After months of speculation and rumors (plus a long wait until any conformation), Activision officially unveils Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Following in the footsteps of Modern Warfare, the game will be a return to the series roots. Like the first Black Ops, the story will once again be set during the Cold War. The time frame will begin during the Vietnam War but then flashes forward to the early 80’s.

Set before the events of Black Ops II, the story will follow Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson as they attempt to stop a Soviet Agent. Players will be deployed to hots posts like East Berlin, Vietnam and deep inside the Eastern Bloc.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to launch for all current gen consoles on November 13th. This will be followed by a Next-Gen launch sometime during the Holiday Season. Those who pre-order now will have access to Woods gear in Warzone.

Details regarding the games multiplayer will be unveiled next month.
