What to Expect in June 2024

With the Summer Season on the horizon, Viz Media has announced a list of major releases for the month of June 2024. This includes new manga series along with the return of beloved stories. Also included are spin-offs and tie-ins to your favorite works.  

All works can be purchased through Viz Media or authorized vendors. Here is a breakdown of all the major releases from Viz Media during June 2024. 

Series Debut

Let’s Do It Already!, Vol. 1 – Yuri and Keiichiro have gotten to know each other on their daily commute to their school. Yuri makes a passionate confession to Keiichiro, and he feels the same. Yuri rushes in to kiss her new boyfriend, but there is a catch. 

Fool Night, Vol. 1 – Kamiya is at the end of his rope. His mother is ill and his job barely pays for her medication. With few options left, he considers the life-changing process of transfloration.

Nue’s Exorcist, Vol. 1 – Gakuro Yajima has always been able to see spirits and his only goal has been to avoid them while trying to live in peace. That changes when he enters a sealed room and meets Nue, a quirky spirit who asks him to defeat the spirits roaming inside the school.

Series Conclusion 

YO-KAI WATCH, Vol. 23 – Whisper suddenly disappears resulting in the bond between Nate to spark an event that shakes the Yo-Kai World.

Video Game Tie-Ins

Pokémon Adventures: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Vol. 2 – Under orders from the president of the Devon Corporation, the Pokémon energy absorption plan continues to move forward. Already filled with unease, Sapphire and Emerald are inexplicably attacked by Zinnia.

Anime Tie-Ins

Kaiju No. 8, Vol. 10 – With kaiju cataclysms transpiring across Japan, Hoshina heads into battle equipped with Numbers Weapon 10. He soon discovers that wielding the first sentient kaiju weapon won’t be easy. 

My Hero Academia, Vol. 38 – In the desperate battle with All For One, the U.A. students are pushing themselves to the limit. Ochaco and Asui fight Himiko Toga while Midoriya squares off with Tomura.

Rainbow Days, Vol. 10 – Mocchi from the basketball team has asked Anna out. Afterward, Natsuki finds himself helpless in stopping his friendship with Anna from becoming awkward.

Snow White with the Red Hair, Vol. 26 – Shirayuki has received permission from Lord Eisetsu to spread the light-bringing phostyrias plant. Back in Lilias, team prepares for the next phase of the plant propagation plan when Ryu makes a major decision.

Call of the Night, Vol. 16 – While Ko works to repair his friendship with Mahiru. At the same time, Mahiru comes to a momentous decision regarding his romantic relationship with Kiku.

Naruto: Sasuke’s Story—The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust: The Manga, Vol. 1 – Sasuke Uchiha heads for the land of Redaku, where he’ll need to infiltrate an astronomical observatory that’s being operated as a prison. 

One Piece: Ace’s Story—The Manga, Vol. 2 – Taken prisoner by the Whitebeard Pirates, Ace continues to challenge the great Emperor of the Sea.

Insomniacs After School, Vol. 6 – Ganta and Isaki are on their astronomy club’s summer trip. When Isaki’s older sister/chaperone ditches them, they’re left all alone. 

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle, Vol. 24 – Another milestone for the Demon Castle is celebrated. Quilladillo discovers the hidden costs of fame, while Vampire discovers the incredible power of normalcy.

Fist of the North Star, Vol. 13 – Kenshiro has arrived in the land of the Asuras to rescue Rin. It is a blighted place, ruled by a brutal code whereby only those who survive hundreds of deadly battles before the age of 15 are allowed to live. 

New Releases

Blade of the Moon Princess, Vol. 4 –  Kaguya has a meeting with Toyo, the younger sister of Kiruhito Matsunouchi. The pair travel to the capital to clear the name of Kaguya’s mother. Meanwhile, Kiruhito learns the truth behind the devastating incident 16 years ago.

Queen’s Quality, Vol. 19 – Kyutaro and friends capture Tsubasa of the Suzaku clan, but they’re surprised at his confession.

Sakamoto Days, Vol. 12 – Shishiba and Osaragi take on Yotsumura and his geisha on the streets of Kyoto. What happened between Shishiba and Yotsumura in the past to sour their mentor-disciple relationship?

The King’s Beast, Vol. 13 – Rangetsu left the palace because she saw no future with Prince Tenyou. But now that the imperial princes are working together, Rangetsu once again has hope.

Akane-banashi, Vol. 6 – Akane begins training with Master Urara in preparation for the upcoming Rokumeikai. If she doesn’t master a new story in the limited time left, she won’t be allowed to perform.

Love’s in Sight!, Vol. 7 – Morio faces one of his greatest fears when he learns of a train accident involving someone with a white cane. He relaxes after rushing to Yukiko’s side and finding out that she’s safe. His relief returns to anxiety when they realize the person question could be one of Yukiko’s best friends.

Mao, Vol. 17 – As the group draws closer to the secret of who killed Sana, another lost relic of the Goko clan turns up—the terrible Box of Monstrosity. 

Skip・Beat!, (3-in-1 Edition), Vol. 16 – Ren Tsuruga confesses his love to Kyoko Mogami. In order to protect their privacy and their careers, they have to keep their relationship a secret. 

Gokurakugai, Vol. 2 – While investigating the murders around the temple, Alma runs into a mysterious young man. He’s so timid and quiet that Alma graciously gives one of his snacks to the stranger. But there’s a reason Tao says to be careful with the quiet ones.

Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., Vol. 2 – It’s Kana’s first assignment as a magical girl. She’s excited to put all the knowledge she’s gained from reading piles and piles of books to good use.

Show-ha Shoten!, Vol. 5 – After winning the preliminary round, Azemichi and Taiyo have officially qualified for the Wara-1 Koshien comedy competition. Rumor has it that everyone who’s gotten advice from Professor Hiyama has gone on to win Wara-1 Koshien. The only way to get his advice is to win the Hiyama Cup.

My Name Is Shingo: The Perfect Edition, Vol. 2 – Satoru has been meeting up with Marin at his father’s factory to spend time with the robot Monroe. But their secret has been misinterpreted as rumors spread about a budding romance between the two.

Books and Graphic Novels 

Pokémon: The Complete Pokémon Pocket Guide Vol. 2 – The second volume of a two book set. It organizes the Pokédex by number and includes data on 456 Pokémon. Also included are details on regional, Gigantamax, and Mega Evolution forms.

DVD Sets

Pokemon The Series: XY Complete Season – XY follows Ash Ketchum as he arrives in the Kalos region. Setting his sights on the Kalos League, Ash is ready to battle the formidable Gym Leaders of the region and discover. This 6-disc set includes all 48 episodes in English Audio.
