Bay Area fans of Lord of the Rings are in for a treat as it has been announced that Sean Astin will be a guest at FAN EXPO San Francisco 2023.
Sean Astin is an acclaimed actor who is best known for his role as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He has also voiced the character in numerous video game adaptations and spin-offs. His other notable roles include Mikey Walsh in The Goonies, Bob Newby in Stranger Things, and Billy Batson / Shazam in the DC Animated Universe.
He will be joining Ewan McGregor from Star Wars, Trina Nishimura from Attack on Titan, pop-culture icon Carl Weathers, Peter Weller from RoboCop, and Justin Briner from My Hero Academia just to name a few. Also joining them will be the cast of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. More guests will be announced in the coming months. Details about special events and more will also become available in the future.
Fan Expo San Francisco is a pop-culture convention that allows fans the chance to meet the talents behind their favorite work. The 2023 event will take place from November 24th to November 26th at Moscone West.
