With all the votes counted and everything confirmed, SacAnime has announced the winners of the Winter 2021 Manga Contest.
Ravensdale by Daniel Lenihan is the 1st pace winner of the SacAnime Winter 2021 Manga Contest. They will receive the prize of $600 along with an exhibitor table at SacAnime Summer 2021. A Gray Area by Tiffin Brown came in 2nd Place while Girls Can be handsome Too! by Athena Cayetano took the 3rd Place spot.
Submissions for the Summer 2021 Manga Contest is currently open. There is no theme for the work but they all must have a complete story (no cliffhangers) while having a minimum of 12 pages and a maximum of 48 pages. It should also be noted that this contest is not open to professionals in the industry. All submissions need to be submitted before July 1st, 2021.
SacAnime Spring 2021 will take place from April 2nd to April 4th at the Roebbelen Center. It will be a swap meet that will also feature special guests and online events. The event will follow safety guidelines (set by the State and Country) while guests will have to follow protocol.
The Manga Contest first started during the 2005 show and grew to become a popular event. It was temporarily discontinued in 2015 due to printing costs. It was set to return for SacAnime Summer 2020 until the event was cancelled due to the pandemic.
