To say that Capcom impressed everyone with the Resident Evil 2 remake would be an understatement.
To say that Capcom impressed everyone at at E3 2018 with a first look at the Resident Evil 2 remake would be an understatement. It’s now official as the game has won Best of Show at the Game Critics Awards.
Following counting all the votes by 51 media outlets and influencers, the winners of the Game Critics Awards Best of E3 2018 has been made available. Of the many titles presented during E3208, Resident Evil 2 was voted the Best in Show. It’s unclear how much of the vote was cast in-favor of the remake.
This should not come as a surprise given the amount of pressure Capcom was under to properly remake Resident Evil 2. It has been one of the most requested remakes and fans have been asking about the games progression after it was officially confirmed.
Resident Evil 2 will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 25, 2019. The game will once again follow Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape Raccoon City after the T-Virus outbreak.
The original Resident Evil 2 was the second game in the horror series and has been hailed as the one of the greatest horror games of all time. The game was first released in 1998 for the PlayStation then ported over to the PC, Nintendo 64, and Sega Dreamcast.
