Oculus Connect 4 | John Carmack’s App Critiques
VR developers got the chance to have their work looked at by John Carmack.
An Insight for Bay Area Gamers
VR developers got the chance to have their work looked at by John Carmack.
John Carmack’s App Critiques was a panel at Oculus Connect 4 that gave an opportunity for developers to have their project examined by a pioneer of the gaming and virtual reality industry.
Prior to the start of the panel, those who wish to have their app looked at had to sign up in advance and let the staff know what equipment would be needed. It was first come, first serve basis so developers needed to sign up before noon.
When the doors open, people took the opportunity to get a quick photo with Carmack as the staff set everything up. Guests also got the chance to ask him a few question regarding his work at Oculus and gaming.
During the panel; Carmack would play or explore each app then list what he liked and disliked followed by suggestions on how to improve the experience. The apps varied from puzzle games, platform games or just offer the user a relaxing experience.
Check out our video to see the apps that John Carmack experienced along with his thoughts on it. Also, yes I did get a picture with him before the panel started.
