Level Up Video Games will be hosting Dev-Talk with Gary Winnick, an opportunity for gamers to meet and learn from one of the pioneers of the point-and-click adventure.

Gary Winnick is a game designer who was the first artists hired at Lucas Arts and has worked on many iconic adventure titles such as Maniac Mansion, The Secret of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, along with Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge.

Winnick currently has partnered with Ron Gilbert to establish Terrible Toybox, an independent game studio. They recently published their first game, Thimbleweed Park, a spiritual successor to Maniac Mansion and it has been praised by gamers and critics.

Dev-Talk will  allow fans the chance to meet Gary Winnick get an insight look into his career in the game industry. The event will take place on June 25 from 4pm until 5pm and is free to attend.

Level Up Video Games is an independent shop in Santa Cruz that sells new along with old games and accessories. They are also well known for the many special events and tournaments they host which attracts gamers from all over the Bay Area.
