Kit 9 Studios has posted its first development update for The Coffin of Andy and Leyley of 2026.

Back in June 2025, Kit 9 Studios announced they would be scaling back on regular updates as they were struggling to create promotional material and share details without spoiling the story. They had already released the highly anticipated Episode 3: Decay and wanted to better focus on the ending. Since then, there has been only one other progress report that was published in December 2025.

The April 2026 progress report provides an update on the game’s development and what lies ahead. Both routes are currently being developed at the same time, and whichever one is finished first will be released. At the moment, it appears the Burial route will be completed first. The next report will have the details about the next major patch plus which episode will be released and when.

The progress report was followed by Patch 3.0.12 that made some minor fixes and added some content.

The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is a horror adventure game that blends elements of a psychological thriller with those of a dark comedy. The story follows siblings Andrew and Ashley Graves trying to survive a quarantine by taking drastic measures.

The game started as a project released on Itch.io before launching on Steam in Early Access. No launch date has been set, but the goal is to have a full launch sometime in 2026.
