In April 2025, the first part of Episode 3 launched with the “Cry About It! Update.” This release introduced Episode 3: Decay, marking the beginning of a highly anticipated chapter in The Coffin of Andy and Leyley. Alongside new content, the update resolved numerous bugs and significantly improved the game’s overall quality of life. At the same time, it also introduced new bugs and glitches that were later patched out through a series of updates.
The latest progress report highlights several challenges that accompanied the release of Episode 3 (1/2). One major feature that failed testing was a basic chapter select option. Preparing it for release has become a top priority, as its absence has caused numerous player issues. Save data has also presented problems, many of which stem from the lack of chapter selection. Additionally, some puzzles have been criticized for dragging down the story’s pacing and overall flow.
At the moment, no new promotional material is available for what’s to come. This is due to concerns that revealing too much might spoil the story for fans.
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is a horror adventure game that blends elements of a psychological thriller with those of a dark comedy. The story follows siblings Andrew and Ashley Graves trying to survive a quarantine by taking drastic measures.
The game started as a project released on Itch.io before launching on Steam in Early Access. No launch date has been set but the goal is to have a full launch sometime in 2025.
