Gundam fans were heartbroken to learn that Gundam Evolution will be shutting down by the end of November 2023. It may have been the Overwatch alternative we needed but that was not enough to keep it alive.
In a blog post that was published, Kazuya Maruyama, Executive Producer for Gundam Evolution, announced that the servers will shutdown on November 29th. It also presented a timeline for the lifespan of the game before the shutdown. He has thanked the fanbase with the following statement,
We want to express our gratitude to everyone who has played the game and supported us to this point. At the same time, we would like to sincerely apologize to our fans and players.Kazuya Maruyama, Executive Producer for Gundam Evolution
These are the key facts players should know about what is left of the games lifespan prior to the shutdown:
- Sale of in-game items will end on July 26th
- Updates for PODS will end on July 26th
- Season 6 updates will be available on August 23rd
- Season 7 updates will be available on October 25th
- Gundam Evolution servers will shutdown on November 29th at 5pm (PST)
