After a long absence, the first trailer for the Fear Effect remake was unveiled at Gamescon 2022. Also announced is an ambiguous launch window.
Fear Effect Reinvented is the highly anticipated remake of the cult classic that was released for the PlayStation back in 2000. The supernatural thriller follows three mercenaries looking for the daughter of a triad boss in a cyberpunk Hong Kong. However not all is what appears as sinister forces are at work.
Teaser Trailer showcases the events in the first stage from Hana Tsu-Vachel perspective. This includes battling other mercenaries and triad soldiers along with a VTOL jet (the boss of the level). To have an idea of what to expect, check out the trailer:
At the moment, no launch date has been sent except for a window of “Coming sooner than you think”. One could expect a late Fall to early Winter 2022 launch or an early 2023 launch. More details will be announced in the future.
