AKKxp has announced that they will be hosting their first Maid Cafe at their new location. This is the perfect event for anyone who wants to check out or enjoys a Maid Cafe but doesn’t want to wait for the next anime convention.

Maid/ Cosplay Cafe at AFKxp will take place on February 15th starting at noon till 6pm. During the day, maids and butlers will be serving food, playing games with guests, and watching some anime. Guests are also encourage to cosplay during the event.

This event will also feature a River City Girls theme and composer Megan McDuffee will be a special guest. She will be signing soundtracks and chatting with fans at The Retro Fix.

Anyone who want to reserve a table should send an email to game@afkgg.com. However, walk-ins are welcomed if there are tables available at the time of arrival.

Maid cafes are cosplay restaurants in which the staff is dressed in maid or butler attire. During a visit, guest get to enjoy some treats while playing games with staff. They started in Japan and now have become a staple of anime conventions in North America.

Major conventions like FanimeCon and Crunchyroll Expo also have their own maid cafe during the weekends. Anime Expo hosts both a maid and butler cafe during their event.

AFKxp Tech+Games could only be described as the heart of the gaming community in the South Bay. They are located on the second floor of LVL Up and share a space with The Retro Fix.
