During a special showcase, Atlus revealed an in-depth look into what players need to know about Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance—Complete Guide summarizes the overall game, from its story to gameplay. Key to the story are the divergent paths of the Canon of Creation and the Canon of Vengeance. Canon of Vengeance begins like the original story but diverges halfway through while also introducing new dungeons. One of those dungeons is Shakan, a forbidden land hidden in Shinjuku. Also showcased are the roles of the Demons and improvements to the overall gameplay mechanics.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is also now available for pre-order. Fans have the choice between the Deluxe Edition or the Standard Edition. The Deluxe Edition will include the base game plus the 2 Sacred Treasure Sets Bonus along with five DLCs. The game is set to launch on June 14th for all major consoles and the PC.

The original Shin Megami Tensei V was released for the Nintendo Switch back in 2021 and was highly praised. It’s the fifth game in the mainline series. The story follows the protagonist , who gets caught in a war between angels and demons in an apocalyptic world called Da’at.

Vengeance will now be the second Shin Megami Tensei to launch in 2024, following Persona 3 Reload, which launched back in February. To get an idea about that game, check out our review.
