Following the successful launch of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Cygames has announced a DLC crossover with NieR Automata.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising – 2B DLC features the 2B (accompanied by Pod 042) as a playable character and avatar that can be used for the player’s profile. The DLC will be available sometime in late February 2024. Check out the trailer to have an idea about 2B’s role in the game: 

This isn’t the first instance of a game featuring a special crossover or DLC with the NieR series. Among the notable titles that have engaged in collaborations with the series are Soulcalibur VI, Final Fantasy XIV, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and PUBG: Battlegrounds.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is a fighting game spin-off of Granblue Fantasy . Players will take on the role of one of the many characters from the series and battle it out. To have an idea about the game, check out our review for the PC. 

NieR: Automata follows 2B and 9S, two androids tasked with fighting off the machines and clearing the Earth for humanity’s return. However, not everything is what it appears as something much darker is happening behind the scenes. It was first released for the PlayStation 4 in 2017 and was highly praised by gamers along with critics.
